Hey everybody! Well, last Sunday was a big day- I celebrated my second birthday. It feels great to be a 2-year-old, I guess this means I'm not a baby anymore. Just in time for the new baby to arrive!

Anyway, before my own birthday, Mommy, Daddy and I took a drive up to New Jersey to celebrate the second birthday of my buddy Scott, who was born just a couple of days before I was. We had a great time, and Scott and his mom and dad came to celebrate with me the next day.

Then the next day- my birthday! We celebrated the big day with a party at the Little Gym, where I go for classes every Friday, where we played for an hour, before we sat down for cake. Thanks so much to everyone who was there, especially Grammy, Grandpa, Aunt Ruthie and Uncle Stephen, who came from out of town just for my special day.

Speaking of birthdays, Aunt Debra celebrates her 30th this week, and she and Uncle Jason and Cousin Joshua just moved into a new house! We went over there Sunday to celebrate. Happy birthday Aunt Debra! We kids are going to have a lot of fun in your play room in the next few years.

Hey everybody! Happy new year! It's a pretty exciting time here in the Silver household. Daddy's back after a business trip to Las Vegas- I missed him a lot, and he missed me too.

I'm just two days away from my second birthday, and Grammy and Grandpa are coming to town to celebrate. And best of all, my little brother or sister is scheduled to arrive in just under two months!

Anyway, the other exciting thing is that I've become a musician. I got an awesome guitar from Aunt Ruthie for Hanukkah, and since then I haven't been able to put it down! I've got the strumming part down but just need to figure out the left hand, although Daddy says he'll teach me.

But that's not all I've been up to. On New Years' Day we all went into the city for the Mummers Parade. All the silly people dressed as clowns were really nice to me!

Oh, Hanukkah!

I'm a fast eater

Hey everybody! Hope everyone had a very pleasant Christmas, Hanukkah and holiday season. I just got done celebrating eight wonderful days of Hanukkah, and while I was pretty tiny for last year's, I'm old enough now to realize that's a pretty awesome holiday.

I got lots of great presents, I really enjoy the songs and games, and I LOVE the candles- even if I keep calling them "cake." But the best part about Hannukah was definitely getting to spend it with my family.

We lit candles at Mommom's house a couple of times, and at home the rest of the time, and I also got to enjoy both a concert at the synagogue and a Hanukkah party with some friends. Of course, another Jewish holiday tradition I know I'm going to love is the annual Christmas night Chinese food night at Chun Hing!

Giving Thanks

Here we go....

Hey everybody! Sorry I haven't written in awhile- it's been a very busy couple of weeks. We celebrated Thanksgiving, as well as birthdays for Mommom and Cousin Daniel, and Mommy and Daddy and I had lots of fun over the long weekend.

But before we get to all that, the most exciting news of all: my little sibling is doing well! Mommy is now in her 26th week and everything's going great so far. The baby, as of Mommy's last appointment, was one pound and six ounces- not that much smaller than I was when I was born! Can't wait to meet the new addition.

Looks just like me, huh?

Anyway, on to the highlights of the last few weeks. First, we drove up to New Jersey for the day and to Uncle Stephen and Aunt Cheryl's, to celebrate Cousin Goldie's engagement! It was great to see them and also Cousins Jeremy, Alys, Avi and Ella, who we had such a great time visiting in Seattle last summer.

November Fun

All right, let's get this show on the road...

Here we go!

Hey everybody! I'm having a really busy but very fun November so far. I'm getting to see a whole lot of family and friends, which is always great.

First of all, I'm talking a lot! I'm doing more and more pointing at things and saying what they are. My favorite things to talk about are ducks ("a quack quack!"), various foods and especially, buses. Each time Daddy drops me off, I get excited about every bus I see and scream out "a bus! a bus!"

This week, I used my first-ever three-word phrase: "A big piece!" I was talking about food, not Ryan Howard! Here's a video:

Anyway, I've had lots of visitors the last couple of weeks. Grammy and Grandpa came in for a visit last weekend and we had a great time. We went out to dinner at Hibachi, which was lots of fun. I loved seeing the fire on the grill and the man slicing everything up, although they wouldn't let me catch the shrimp in my mouth at the end.

Then Sunday my friend Scott came over to watch the Eagles game, along with his parents Bill and Christie. Scott's older than me by just two days, and I'm happy to say I'm starting to catch up with him in height. We had a good time, but the less said about the Eagles game, the better!

Noah's October

Hey everybody! It's been a very exciting month, and I want to start off by sharing the most exciting news of all- I'm going to be a big brother! My new brother or sister is due to arrive next March, and I can't wait to have a sibling who's so close to me in age. Mommy's doing all right so far.

Anyway, even though Halloween's more than a week away, I'm really getting into the swing of things. I'm dressing as a chicken, a costume that everyone seems to love, even though one lady the other day asked me to give her some eggs.

Saturday I went to Linvilla Orchards with Mommy, and then with Mommy and Daddy to a Halloween party, before we had dinner with Cousin Goldie and her fiance Dan.

Then, Sunday, I went to "Boo at the Zoo" with Mommy and Daddy, Mommom and Poppop, and my aunts, uncles and cousins. Not only did we get to see all the animals, but we went trick-or-treating too!

After that, Mommy and Daddy and I went to a special Halloween party for former NICU patients at Lankenau Hospital, where I was born and spent my first 55 days. I got to see a couple of my nurses and even some other kids who were in the hospital with me- Mommy and Daddy and I are so thankful for all the help they gave us back then!

Tuesday Cousin Joshua spent the day with Mommom and I and we had fun all over the city!

Also, Daddy just got a new iPhone, so prepare for better pictures and videos of me, and more of them too!

And finally, I was just wanted to say how glad I am that Aunt Hannah is feeling better. So glad you could come to the zoo on Sunday!

Noah in the Fall

Hey everybody! Sorry I haven't written in so long- it's been a very busy month. We had one last trip to the Shore, a visit from Grammy and Grandpa, and a whole bunch of birthdays to celebrate- Mommy, Grandpa, Grammy, Cousin Joshua, and my friends Nicky and Tyler!

I'm also talking a whole lot more- Mommy is thrilled that I now say "Momma" as often and as enthusiastically as I say Daddy. I can't see a ball or a car without blurting out "a ball!" or "car!"
I also use new words all the time -this morning I said "you too!"- and have gotten a lot better at recognizing people than before.

Hey everybody! Well, I've been a busy boy as usual the last few weeks. A couple of trips to the zoo, a couple to the shore, and we celebrated Daddy's birthday.

I'm enjoying my new walking abilities and have been doing it all the time. I'm also starting to talk a bit more than I used to. My favorite words are "happy," "baby," "apple" and "Daddy."

We were at the shore this past weekend and I got to go to the beach with Cousins Daniel and Joshua!

My Major League Debut

I'm in color, the world is black and white

Hey everybody! Well, Sunday was a pretty big day, because Mommy and Daddy took me to my first-ever big-league baseball game! It went really well, and we had a great time.

The Phillies won 14-1, I was in a good mood the whole time, and even though Mommy and Daddy were prepared to leave early if they had to, I went the distance! Here are some pictures from the game:

I'm really liking walking- I don't do it all the time yet, but more and more every day. Aside from the obvious, there's been a whole lot going on since I last wrote. We just got back from a long holiday weekend at the shore. We got to do a lot of fun stuff- the beach, rides on the Boardwalk in Ocean City, and I even got to drive around the house:

Three Silvers, Two Trips

Hey everybody! I've been a pretty busy, well-traveled boy since the last time you heard from me. Mommy and Daddy and I have gone on not one trip, but two!

On Memorial Day weekend, we drove up to Boston- along with Aunt Hannah and Cousin Daniel- celebrate the graduations from college of two of my cousins, Sarah and Sophie. Mazel tov to you both! While we were there I got to see a whole bunch of aunts, uncles and cousins. But of course, I spent a whole lot of time with Cousins Daniel and Joshua:

Just a few days after we came back from Boston, Mommy, Daddy and I took an even longer plane ride than usual to Seattle, so we could visit Cousins Jeremy, Alys, Avi and Ella. Avi's a little bit older than me and Ella's a little younger, but I've got a feeling we're all going to be really good friends.

Early Summer Fun

Hey everybody! Sorry I haven't posted lately, I've just been so busy. Summer has just begun and Mommy and Daddy and I have been taking advantage of the good weather and spending a lot of time outside.

The last couple of weekends we've gone to outdoor festivals in Philadelphia, first the Italian Market festival two weeks ago and then the Rittenhouse Row festival last Saturday. It was lots of fun, and I got to try some new foods, including gelato. Mmm!

I also spent a day last week at the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia's Science Museum, with Mommom, Aunt Hannah and Cousin Daniel. We had lots of fun!

Also, this week Grandpa came to town on business, and I got to see him too. He came over to our house on Monday night and then I went out to dinner with him and Daddy on Wednesday. Great to see you Grandpa!

Hey everybody! Mommy, Daddy and I got back on Monday from a long weekend in Minnesota, visiting Grammy, Grandpa and many other friends and family members.

We did a lot on our visit- we walked around Lake Calhoun and went to the park, had my relatives and a bunch of friends over, visited the Art institute, and went to have lunch downtown with Grandpa. We even got some nice weather a couple of the days, although we did see some snow flakes, even though it was May 1!

Cars and Cousins

Let me just finish this article, then I'll start the blog post

Hey everybody! It's been a really eventful week. Last Sunday, Mommy and Daddy took me, along with Mommom, Cousin Daniel and Aunt Hannah and Uncle Kyle, to meet Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater and the other "Cars" characters. They were parked outside Citizen's Bank Park, so not only did I get my picture taken with them, but I got to see the ballpark for the first time too! I can't wait to go to my first game.

The next two days after that were spent up in Northern New Jersey for our family Passover seder. It was almost three days with a whole bunch of my family, including all five of us little cousins- me, Daniel, Joshua, Avi and Ella. I was pretty tiny for last year's seder, but this year I was all over the place. Before you know it, I'll be reading the Four Questions and giving Daniel and Avi a run for the Affikomen!

April Fun

Hey everybody! Hope everyone's having a good April. I had a really nice visit last weekend with Grammy and Grandpa. Luckily the weather was really nice so we got to spend some time outside.

We had a great visit and I can't wait to see them when we visit Minnesota in a few weeks- and I hope the weather stays nice too!

I've been doing a whole lot of new things since I last posted here. I'm starting to say more and more words- I've said "cup" more than once, I say "hi" all the time, and Cousin Daniel swears he heard me call Lightning McQueen by name today. I'm also completely off of baby food, and off the bottle and on to the sippy cup!

I'm also clapping, and can raise my arms too. Here's a video of me doing a few of my new tricks:

Of course, I've learned another trick that was even harder- I can crawl all the way up the stairs! Here I am in action:

Anyway, I've been having a lot of fun hanging out with my cousins Daniel and Joshua at Mommom's house during the week:

March Madness

Hey everyone! Another exciting week here in the Silver household. I'm very, very close to walking- the other day I walked a couple of steps while holding one of Mommy's hands! I also clapped my hands for the first time this week- and I've been sticking out my tongue a lot. Ahhhhh

But I'm still mostly crawling and climbing. You can see me doing both in this video Daddy took of me:

Also, as you can see in this picture, I grabbed Daddy's Sports Illustrated, opened it, and sat down in my chair to read. Daddy was very proud of me!

Let me just flip this around and we'll get started!

Hey everybody! First of all, sorry about not writing for the last few weeks. I've been super-busy. But the good news is, spring is finally here! I've already been outside a few times, and I'm looking forward to getting out even more.

The big news is, after about six months of having only my two lower front teeth, I've now got two on top, too! It's certainly going to make eating easier than its been.

We had a fun weekend. Yesterday, Mommy and Daddy and I went to the park, and today, we went with Cousin Daniel, Aunt Hannah and Uncle Kyle to my first Purim carnival at their synagogue! Then we went back to their house and played.

I'm still doing all the usual things- eating, sleeping, reading books with Mommy and Daddy and crawling around quickly. But what I've really loved doing lately is playing with blocks. Here's a video of just that:

I think I can say at this point that yellow is my favorite color.

Month 13

Should I write this post on a Mac or PC?

PC it is!

Hey everybody! February's almost over, and I'm so glad the weather's starting to get warmer. I took a walk outside today with Daddy, and I can't wait to start doing it every day- and by the end of the summer, I hope I can walk myself!

Anyway, I've been doing all right. I got an ear infection this week and was having trouble for a day or two there, but I've been feeling much better today. Now I'm back to my usual favorite activity: reading books, playing and crawling around the house at breakneck speeds! Here's a video of me doing all of the above:

Last week I visited the zoo along with Mommy, Mommom and some other friends of mine:

Crawling Through Winter

Here we go!

Hey everybody! Happy Valentine's Day! It's been a really cold winter, but I'm managing to stay warm, partially by zooming around the house! I've already been crawling everywhere, and now I'm speeding around on my giraffe bike.

I also like to make a beeline over to my favorite books, and page through them.

And I also love to crawl over to the deck door and stare out- can't wait for the snow to melt.

Of course, I still love bath time:

Anyway, today I drank, all by myself, from a sippy cup for the first time. It was frustrating for Mommy for awhile, but she's glad I'm finally doing it!

Last weekend we took my first trip to Chuck E. Cheese's for my friend Evan's fourth birthday party. I rode on the rides with Mommy and Daddy- and I also ate pizza for the first time! I think I like it.

Of course, I like the frozen kind too.

Crawling and Climbing

Typing out my latest blog post

Hey everybody! Well, I've had a pretty good first two weeks of being a year old. Like I said last time, I'm crawling everywhere now, and now I've added another trick- standing up! Daddy walked into my room a couple of weeks ago and saw I was standing up in my crib- and now I do it every day, all over the house.

Anyway, last weekend Mommy and Daddy took me to my first-ever hockey game, as the Phantoms came back and played at Wells Fargo Center. It was a little loud and late at night for me, but I'm glad I got to take my first-ever trip to the Philadelphia Sports Complex- and I've got a feeling I'm going to be spending a lot of time down there in the years to come.

Cousin Daniel and Aunt Hannah joined us- it was his first hockey game too!

Also last weekend, we went to a birthday party for my friend Scott, who was born just a few days before I was. It was great to see him again, and while Scott is still bigger than me, I'm starting to catch up!

Anyway, here are some other highlights of what I've been up to lately:

My First Birthday

Hey everybody! Well, Saturday was a special day- my first birthday! It's so hard to believe that I've come this far, from the little, little guy you see at the upper right to the crawly, noisy, much bigger boy you see today!

In addition to all my local family, Grammy, Grandpa, Aunt Amy and Jason came to town to celebrate with me. It was so great to see everyone, and be reminded of just how many people out there care about me. Thanks so much!

Ah, that was good.

My birthday isn't the only big thing that's been going on. I just started crawling not that long ago, but now I just can't stop! It's so much fun to see something I want across the room- usually a book, a toy, a ball, Mommy or Daddy- and just reach out and grab it.
